My name is Gautam.
I remember my father loved me a lot. My father passed away when I was five year old. My mother since then works a lot to earn some money. She works in different households during the day. In late afternoon my mother comes home. I also return from my school during the same time. After that she does embroidery and stitching work. By the time we go to sleep my mother gets very tired. I am too young thus she does not share anything with me.
My mother always wants me to study hard and become a famous person in life so that I do not face the problems she is facing in life. I love my mother a lot. When I grow up and start earning, I will not let her work.
I studied till class 5th in Smile Foundation project in NOIDA. I learnt many things there. Our teachers used to take us to different places like museums, malls, companies, newspaper office, TV channels and picnic. I miss all those days and my friends there. I stay nearby and every week I go to Smile Foundation centre to meet my teachers. I like them a lot.
I like going to school. I became a hero in my neighbourhood when I got admission in Army Public School (APS), NOIDA. I was the first child from our colony to study in a public school. I had scored 97.8 % in class 5th in Smile Foundation centre. My teachers took me and a few friends from the centre to APS. We appeared for entrance examination in Army Public School. I was scared in the beginning as there were many other students in good dresses from rich families. But I got admission easily. I thank my teachers from Smile Foundation and my mother.
I have made many friends in my new school. They are very good. My new teachers also like me.
I want to be a cricketer or a doctor. I am also playing good cricket. I have been promoted as a member of senior cricket team in APS. I still get constant support from my old school teachers. I will work very hard to fulfil the dreams of my mother and teachers.
